PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana
The PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, launched by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, is a flagship initiative to promote rooftop solar adoption across the country. The government aims to empower one crore households by FY 2026-27 with clean, self-generated electricity through residential rooftop solar systems.
- Under this scheme, consumers can receive a subsidy of up to ₹78,000 for solar systems of 3 kW and above, credited directly to their bank account after installation.
